How to be Honest When Recruiting Developer Program Leaders

This morning we encountered refreshingly clear and honest language in describing a job opening, and would you believe it came from an insurance company?
We spend a lot of time searching the web for the best job opportunities for developer program leaders, so we see a lot of marketing-speak in job postings. You know what we mean “Looking for a self-starter ready to lead a world class team …” Well, Aetna is looking for a Developer Community Product Owner to work out of their Hartford, CT office. Their listing includes a refreshingly useful thumbnail table copied below.
Two things stand out: they give salary range, and they are up front in how much travel is involved. We’ve all had jobs where we worked “out of” this or that office, and most of the time we have little idea how much or how little of our time will be “out”. Kudos to Aetna for making it clear.
Now, if our health insurance provider could be as clear in our policy documents …
